Adding credits to your workspace

What credits are, who can add them, how to buy or auto-refill them, and how they roll over.

Credits let you keep using Anara's AI after you reach your plan's included usage limit, without upgrading. Add them once when you need a heavy week, or set up auto-refill so you never think about it. This article covers who can add credits, how to add them, and how they behave.

What credits are

Every paid plan includes an amount of AI usage that refreshes on a weekly basis (see Understanding usage limits). Credits are extra usage you add on top. Anara always uses your included usage first; credits are only drawn on after your included usage runs out. 100 credits equal $1.

Who can add credits

  • Workspace owners and admins on any paid plan can add credits.

  • Members can't purchase directly. Click Request credits instead: choose an amount and Anara emails the workspace owners and admins on your behalf so they can approve it.

  • Free plans can't add credits. If you're hitting the Free limit regularly, upgrading to a paid plan gives you a much larger weekly limit.

How to add credits

  1. Go to Settings > Usage, or click Add credits on a usage notification.

  2. Pick an amount, or choose Other to enter your own. Purchases are in whole dollars, from $5 to $1,000, and the dialog shows the number of credits as you type.

  3. Click Continue to checkout. Your saved card is already selected, and any tax is calculated at checkout.

  4. Complete the checkout. Your card is charged right away, and you're returned to the page you started from with the credits on your balance.

Note: Completing checkout charges your card immediately. There's no separate confirmation step afterwards.

Auto-refill

Auto-refill tops your balance up automatically so long tasks never stall. It's off by default, and Anara never charges you automatically unless you turn it on.

  1. In the Add credits dialog, switch to the Auto-refill tab.

  2. Set the balance that triggers a refill, the amount to add each time, and a monthly spending cap.

  3. Click Save. You can change or turn it off any time from Settings > Usage.

If a refill payment fails, auto-refill switches itself off and you'll see a notice to update your card.

How credits behave

  • Shared across your workspace. Included usage is per person, but the credit balance belongs to the whole workspace and any member's overflow draws from it.

  • They roll over. Unused credits carry from month to month. They expire 12 months after purchase, so use them within a year.

  • Visible in one place. Your credit balance lives in Settings > Usage.

If something isn't working

  • Card declined at checkout? Try another card, or update your payment method in Settings > Billing.

  • Balance not updating after purchase? Refresh the page. If it still doesn't appear, contact support with your receipt.

  • Wondering about refunds? See Requesting a refund.
