Inviting and managing team members

How to invite colleagues to your workspace, change member roles, and remove members in Settings > Members.

Anara workspaces support multiple members β€” invite your lab, research group, or team to collaborate on shared folders and documents. Manage everyone from Settings > Members.

Inviting team members

  1. Click Invite and enter the email address of the person you want to add.

  2. Assign a role: Owner or Member.

  3. Send the invitation.

The invited person receives an email. Once they accept, they'll have access to the workspace. You can also invite members from the library toolbar.

Roles explained

  • Owner: Full access to settings, billing, member management, and workspace configuration.

  • Member: Can use the workspace and collaborate on shared folders. Cannot manage workspace settings or billing.

Changing a member's role

  1. Go to Settings > Members.

  2. Find the member whose role you want to change.

  3. Select their new role from the dropdown next to their name.

Removing a member

  1. Go to Settings > Members.

  2. Find the member you want to remove.

  3. Click Remove next to their name.

Removed members lose access to the workspace immediately. Their personal files remain in their own account; shared content stays in the workspace.

Tip: Share specific folders with collaborators rather than adding them as full workspace members if you only need them to access certain content. See Sharing and collaborating on folders.
