Notion is where a lot of research thinking happens — literature notes, reading logs, experiment trackers, and project plans. Anara offers two Notion connectors: one imports selected content into your Anara library, and one lets the agent work with your live Notion workspace.

Import Notion content
The Notion import connector copies the text from pages and databases you select into your Anara library and indexes it for search. Use this when you want Notion content to behave like the other files in your library.
Requires a Pro plan or higher.
Work with live Notion content
The Notion app connector queries pages, databases, and workspace knowledge through Notion's hosted MCP server. It can also make updates after you approve the proposed action. It does not import a copy into your Anara library.
Requires a Plus plan or higher.
Tip: You can connect both. Use the import connector for indexed library content and the app connector when you need current Notion data or want Anara to make an approved change.
Import pages and databases
Go to Settings > Connectors.
Find the Notion card that says Import pages and databases from your Notion workspace, then click Connect.
Sign in to Notion and select the pages or workspace Anara can access.
Confirm the selection. You return to Anara with Notion showing as connected.
What gets imported
Anara imports the text content of the Notion pages and databases you granted access to. Page text, database entries, and subpages are indexed for search inside your library.
If the source changes later, use Resync from Settings > Connectors to pull in the latest version.
Connect the live Notion app
Go to Settings > Connectors.
Find the Notion card that says Search and update your Notion workspace, then click Connect.
Sign in to Notion and authorize the workspace access you want to grant.
Return to Anara. The Notion app appears under Connected.
What the app connector can do
The agent can search live Notion pages and databases without waiting for an import. If it proposes an action that may change Notion, Anara pauses and shows an approval card. Select Allow once to perform that exact action, or deny it to leave Notion unchanged.
Use Notion in chat
For imported Notion pages, ask Anara to search your Library. For live Notion content, type @ and select Notion under Sources, or ask naturally, such as “Find the latest project brief in Notion.”
You can combine Notion with Library, Web, or another connected app in the same request.
If Notion is not working
Imported pages are missing? Anara can only import pages you explicitly granted access to. Disconnect and reconnect the import connector, then select the additional pages.
Imported content is outdated? Click Resync on the Notion import connector.
The live app asks you to reconnect? Notion authorization may have expired or the requested action may need additional permissions. Reconnect, then send the request again.
Notion is not listed in chat? Confirm the app connector appears under Connected in Settings > Connectors, then refresh the page.
