Anara is a new kind of scientific instrument. It's an AI workspace purpose-built for research: source-grounded answers, a library that scales to thousands of documents, and an integrated place to read, annotate, and write.
AI that cites its sources
Every answer Anara gives you is backed by inline citations that link directly to the exact passage in your documents. Click any citation to jump straight to the source.
This is what sets Anara apart from general-purpose AI tools. It doesn't generate plausible-sounding answers from training data. It reads your documents and shows its work.
Tip: Ask questions about a single paper, a folder of studies, or your entire library. Anara searches across all of it at once β 10 documents or 10,000, the experience is the same.
Your research library, unified
Upload PDFs, import from Zotero or Mendeley, pull papers by DOI or URL, or clip web pages with the browser extension. Every file gets processed: metadata extracted, an AI summary generated, full text made searchable.
Anara is built for scale. You're not limited to one file at a time, and quality doesn't degrade as your library grows.
Read and annotate PDFs
Anara has a built-in PDF viewer. Highlight passages, add comments, and chat with the AI in a sidebar right alongside what you're reading. Select any text and add it directly to the chat to ask a focused question about it.
Write with your library behind you
The note editor keeps AI and library access in one place. Write, search for citations, insert them inline, and export to PDF, Word, LaTeX, or HTML. No tab-switching between your writing tool and your sources.
New here? Get started with Anara walks you through your first five minutes: uploading a document, chatting with AI, and creating a note.
